PETERBOROUGH INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S CHORAL FESTIVAL 2027

Welcome! We’re delighted to invite you to be part of the second Peterborough International Women’s Choral Festival - a vibrant, forward-thinking celebration of female voices - taking place in the historic city of Peterborough in June 2027.

Building on the success of our inaugural event, this unique festival shines a spotlight on the female choral experience, championing women’s choirs and female composers while bringing together ensembles from across the UK and Europe - a chance to celebrate the artistry, diversity, and ambition of women’s singing both nationally and internationally.

From competition classes and a spectacular gala concert in Peterborough’s magnificent Norman cathedral to relaxed, informal performances in scenic Cathedral Square, with its historic Guildhall and vibrant café culture - our festival activity is all set within the city’s easily walkable, pedestrianised city centre,leaving plenty of time to explore.

One of the festival’s most unique features is its opening gala dinner, an unforgettable evening where participating singers join together in the spectacular setting of Peterborough Cathedral to meet, share, celebrate and enjoy inspiring informal performances from guest choir, Damkören Korallerna (Sweden), and host choir, Peterborough Voices.

We warmly invite women’s choirs and ensembles of all ages, backgrounds, and traditions to join us for this unforgettable event full of musical challenge, inspiration, and friendship.
